Music, the language which touches everyone

In the past I have mosaic-ed numerous music instruments, especially Violins. They are full size actual instruments, discarded because of cracks in the wood and not fit for repair, heading for the dumpster.

I have rescued them and prepared them for their second curtain call in their life. They became special gifts,
headed to auctions to benefit a Symphonic Orchestra and Society, purchased for Wedding Centerpieces and the like.

I usually prime and paint them, mosaic the front with a hand cut, nipped China Plate tile mosaic, replace the strings with actual pearl strings, embellish them with handmade clay roses, pretties and baubles...One could swear these violins to be vintage finds, fabulously executed with a Mosaic from vintage china plates. A gift for cherished friends, family or a donation to your local Music Auctions to help the community. All my Mosaic Violins just glow with luscious roses and more, awaiting another curtain call. - it's looks have drastically improved.

My violin's are meticulously mosaic-ed with the most beautiful, hand cut china plate mosaic tiles. Cascading lush blooms and roses on some of my favorite vintage bone china/porcelain dinner and breakfast plates were  hand cut into very beautiful mosaic tesserae's to cover these violins.

They have gone all over the US and as far as Australia, Hong Kong, and Canada to name a few destinations.
