Music, the language everyone speaks...and God loves it - I am sure...

A return customer of my hand made Mosaic creations shared with me last week that my repurposed mosaic violins are my trademark. I am not sure if I agree, but I have made about 10 -12  them. They were bought from my store for the little music protege,  for big auctions to support the Sympnony Orchestra and their classical music concerts in different city's around the States. They went to Australia, Hong Kong, just to name a few destinations.

So every ones in a while I do make another one. Due to their curvature everywhere, they are not easy to mosaic. The one shown I just finished a lil while ago. I do not know how old this one was but one could swear this to be a vintage find, a lovely Violin, rescued from it's fate of discard, fabulously executed with a Mosaic from vintage china plates. A gift for cherished friends, family or a donation to your local Symphony Music Auctions to help the community.
Primed and painted in Cottage white, the back has a crackled finish. It's looks have drastically improved. The edges are finished with a ivory colored gimp fo finish up this fabulous shabby, cottage chic look and the mosaic is sealed.
This half size violin is meticulously mosaic-ed with the most beautiful, hand cut china plate mosaic tiles. Cascading lush blooms and roses on some of my favorite vintage bone china/porcelain dinner and breakfast plates were cut into a very beautiful mosaic tesserae to cover this violin. The hour glass "waist line" on this violin is embellished with stained glass.
The strings on this beautiful art piece are a set of dark pink pearls. The tail piece is accented with handmade clay roses and green leafs. Pink Porcelain roses accent the bottom part.

This is a gift that everyone likes to receive, music lover and others alike. You can find it at

I love your work beyond measure!
I dream about having a table like that! Imagine that tea table as a bed nightstand with a beautiful dainty lamp on it.

That is a beautiful piece! You know I dont think that I have ever seen anyone do such gorgeous mosiac work, honestly!! Makes me wish I had someone that played the violin so that I could give it to them as a gift!

I came to your blog to introduce myself. My name is Sherry and I have joined the Bloggerette Sorority. I missed the rush, as I have only been blogging for about 3weeks, but I am looking forward to joining in on the fun in the future. I would be honored if you visited my blog at http://scrappingwithsherry1.blogspot.com/ Hope to see you there!

I love the porcelain plates you use to create these works of art. The violins are pretty but I really, really like those tables.
