Look at this full size Violin I found. Face Plate cracked, no bridge,
scratched up
everywhere, some pegs broken on the tail piece – the repair for this violin
would
have been so outrageously high, it wasn’t worth it.
What to do – of course, a cherished art piece for the music lover to
display on the
wall, dresser, table. An auction piece for a Symphony Orchestra to make the
public aware
of the local Symphony Orchestra and what it has to offer. A gift for the
music protégée,
a child learning to play the violin or an adult even.
It’s curtain call long gone – I transformed this violin by sanding, priming
and painting it.
Placing a china plate rim mosaic, complimented with stained glass on this
violin face plate.
Every lil tile is placed with the greatest love and care, glued down,
matched up with
complimenting colors.
I then grouted the mosaic with an antique white grout, sealed it with Tile
Sealer – and on
to the “pretties”. I placed handmade clay roses strategically and lovingly,
the missing
strings were replaced with light green pearl strings – and look at her
now...
What a beautiful gift this makes, Wall Décor, Centerpiece....available at
my shop here
Thank you so much for looking and enjoy....
